MEET THE TEAM
We are blessed by a fantastic team of leaders at Buckskin.
Below you'll find more information about each of our five Elders, who lead the Church and set the vision.
Will is the Senior Pastor here at Buckskin, having been with us for over 20 years! Will is originally from Bournemouth and he studied theology at Moorlands College in Christchurch. He currently is the Chairman of One Church Basingstoke.
Married to Tracy, they have 2 grown up children. Will has a passion to see the local church built. He loves communicating God's Word and seeing the Holy Spirit change lives. Will's favourite things include Lord of The Rings, Liverpool FC, bread and butter pudding, U2 and football. He loves his family, worship, cars, technology, films and cake but dislikes include DIY, bean casserole and peas.
Stewart became Associate Pastor at Buckskin in November 2019. He is married to Lypisse, and they have one young daughter. Stewart came to Buckskin having just finished serving in a church in Burundi for the past 5 years. He has a passion for worship, and seeing people become committed disciples of Jesus.
Married to Sue, with 2 grown up children, Ashley accepted Christ as Saviour in 1982. On moving to Tadley in 1985 the family joined Buckskin Evangelical Church, then known as Buckskin Chapel. Ashley has worked in insurance since 1977 and, having moved for work in 1985, has been with the same company for nearly 35 years. Previously a youth teacher and chair of the Fabric and Building team, Ashley became an Elder in 2014, and a Trustee in 2017. Ashley has a servant heart and loves being a practical Christian, believing that God sees in us things we don’t always see in ourselves.
Darren has been an Elder since 2014. Married to Jenny with 2 teenage children, Darren runs his own company. He is a huge rugby fan, and a mean BBQ chef. Darren has a heart to see the church serving the lost and the least in society, and is passionate about encouraging others to serve. He once wrestled a hippo.
Emma came to faith after experiencing God's love in a powerful way the first time she walked into Buckskin as a 14 year old, and she's been here ever since! Married to Matthew with two daughters, Emma has been prayer co-ordinator on and off for over 2 decades. Emma's passion is to see people connect to God through prayer, and she loves to encourage others to achieve their God given potential. Emma plays the cello and clarinet badly and once jumped out of a plane at 10,000ft, despite being afraid of planes and heights. She works part time as the Church's Communication Officer.
