A shared, safe space where it's okay to not be okay

At Buckskin we want to make a difference, so have started our Refresh Café.

Our Refresh Café is a simple, shared space where those who are struggling with their mental health can come and find connection and community- somewhere where they can feel included, and that promote wellbeing.

When you arrive at our Refresh Café, there's a warm welcome, and a cup of something hot - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, whatever you fancy. There's always a slice of something nice to eat too.


On the tables there are a variety of activities - from adult colouring, to puzzle books, to knitting and crochet, to origami, woodwork and beyond. Please feel free to bring your own hobby, and share it with others. 


Our space is created around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing - well respected research suggests 5 activities that promote wellbeing.


 They are:

* Be Active

* Take notice

* Learn

* Give

All of our activities are planned with these 5 ways to wellbeing in mind.

We always open and end the session with a prayer time. We believe that a quiet time of prayer is deeply good for our wellbeing, and so we invite you to join us in the Prayer Space for a short prayer time.  There's no pressure to join in - if you'd rather not that's absolutely fine.  If you are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, the quiet prayer space is there throughout the session if you need to retreat to somewhere peaceful.

We would love to welcome you to our Refresh Café.  
We are open every Tuesday morning (term-time only) 10am- 12pm
There is no charge, and we'd love to see you.
